Car Rental Prices in Manali
The price shown on each car above is the current rate. Rates differ between Monday to Thursday and Friday to Sunday, and rise in peak season.
Long local rentals get a discounted rate when arranged in advance. There is no discount on Spiti or Ladakh trips, and none on the spot. Fuel, tolls, green tax, parking and permits are not included.

For Leh and Spiti most customers take the Thar. For Manali, Solang and the Atal Tunnel, the Jimny is compact, easy to park and light on fuel. All carry four adults; ask for a roof carrier in advance if you have a lot of luggage.

If you paid by UPI or cash, the deposit is refunded on the spot when you return the car. Card refunds take around 7 working days, depending on your bank.
Important: Tell us your full route before you leave. Rent and deposit are set by where you are going. If the car is taken somewhere other than the route you told us, the deposit is not refunded.
Documents Required to Rent a Car
- Indian drivers: original car driving licence (LMV), shown physically or online (DigiLocker), and a government ID.
- Foreign drivers: passport, home-country driving licence and an International Driving Permit.
- Minimum age: 18, with a valid permanent car licence. We do not rent on a learner's licence.
How to Book a Self Drive Car in Manali
- 1Choose your car and dates online, on WhatsApp, by phone, or at either office.
- 2Pay 10% advance online to confirm, or call us for the booking amount.
- 3Tell us your route, including Leh, Spiti or any trip outside Himachal.
- 4Collect the car with a full tank from Log Huts Road or Vashisht, or ask for delivery. Pay the balance and deposit at pickup.
- 5Return it with a full tank and collect your deposit.
We accept UPI, cards and cash. Bookings are non-cancellable and non-refundable, so please check your dates before you confirm.

Open in season with a government permit. You apply for the permit yourself because it carries your licence details, and the fee is yours to pay. Our team helps with the process.
Atal Tunnel & Sissu
Through the tunnel into Lahaul for the waterfall and lake at Sissu. No permit needed.
Solang Valley
A short drive for the ropeway, skiing and adventure sports.

Renting a 4×4 in Manali in Winter
We rent cars through the winter. All our cars are 4×4, which is what you want for snow on the Solang and Atal Tunnel roads. Snow chains are available at an extra charge. Some conditions apply to winter rentals depending on the weather and where you plan to drive; our team will explain them when you book.

How much is the security deposit for a car in Manali?

When is the deposit refunded?
Instantly on return if you paid by UPI or cash. If you paid by card, it takes around 7 working days, depending on your bank.

Is fuel included in the car rent?
No. You get the car with a full tank and return it with a full tank.
Is there a daily kilometre limit?
No. There is no kilometre limit, but you must tell us where you are going before you leave.
What happens if I take the car somewhere I did not tell you about?
Rent and deposit are set by your route. If the car is taken to a place with a different rent or deposit without telling us, the security deposit is not refunded.

No. You can drive our car to Leh, but for local sightseeing from Leh, such as Nubra and Pangong, you need a local vehicle. You will have to arrange a local taxi there yourself.

Yes, at an extra charge. Confirm with our team when you book.

Yes. A 4×4 is recommended for the Kunzum route. The deposit is ₹10,000 to ₹15,000.
Can I drive a rental car to Rohtang Pass?
Yes. Rohtang Pass needs a government permit, which you apply for yourself because it carries your licence details. The fee is not included in the rent. Our team will help with the process.
Do you rent cars in Manali in winter and snow?
Yes. All our cars are 4×4. Some conditions apply in winter depending on weather and route, and our team explains them when you book.

Safety, damage and extras
Are the cars insured? Who pays for damage?
The cars carry third-party insurance. Any damage to the car itself is paid by the customer.
What happens if the car has a puncture or breaks down?
Every car comes with a spare tyre and tyre-changing tools. For anything else, call us and our local team will guide you.
Do you provide a roof carrier or a child seat?
A roof carrier is available if you ask in advance. Child seats are not available.
Pickup and delivery
Where do I collect the car in Manali, and what are the timings?
From Log Huts Road, about 500 m from Mall Road, or from our office near Vashisht Temple. Both are open from 7 AM to 7 PM every day. Get directions
